I was born
in New Orleans, Louisiana, and still remain nearby. Not to far from New
Orleans, but far enough. (STOP NOW, THIS GETS BORING, ZZZZZZZ....) During my childhood
years I was surrounded by books and comics. My parents owned
a New/Used book shop, but closed it after I finished high school. At the time I wasn’t into reading or writing.
Although, I would pick up a few comic books for entertainment. Now, I’d love to have that book shop to go to everyday and bury my head into those great smelling pages.
Family:
Married with children and a few acres of wildlife. Such as Deer, rabbits, snakes,
alligators, raccoons, and some unknown things
I can’t name. Plus two Golden's. Career: I work in construction part-time, and I’m also a certified Construction
Documents Technologist. During my off hours I love to create
stories. Okay, during my on hours I like to create them too. (Shh…don’t
tell my boss.) How I started writing: You’d
have thought growing up in a book shop that I’d started then,
and that would’ve made sense, but only recently did I begin
writing right after hurricane Katrina hit. Katrina
truly opened my eyes. It made me realize how short life was and to stop
wasting it. I’ve always enjoyed creating stories in my head,
but until this tragedy occurred I never took it seriously. Never put
it on paper. Now I do.
The unknown and power of love is what calls to me and always has.
I guess that's why I write paranormal and romantic suspense thrillers. One day I’d love to give horror a try, but I’d
be afraid I’d scare myself. Living in the woods with an over active imagination wouldn’t help.
Things
that interest me besides writing: Reading of course. I also
like to swim, fish and travel. I love animals. I've been in a few movies as a back ground actress. I enjoy learning from other people when it comes to writing. I also enjoy helping others learn how to write. I don't mind questions. You can email me anytime.
Odd things about me: People can’t see me walking on
a jobsite with my hard hat on and dealing with construction, but I
do. I also like to tag along and pretend to play golf and fish with
my husband. I normally pull out a book to read and get that look from
him, like "What are you doing?" (grin)
Things that don’t interest me: Cooking. (I'll take revisions over cooking any day! Wait. Can I change my mind? Buried Magic is giving me hell with revisions, but when it's done it will be worth it.) |
