My blog post are out dated due to my lack of tech skills. 🙂 My latest release is Return to Sanctuary. I have a short story in the anthology with other Dark Hunter writers. My novella, Masquerading With the CEO is now available through Audible, and I’m currently writing a new Seraph series. I can’t wait to share it with you.

Excerpt from Not An Angel

As he measured her, his gaze warmed the consuming chill that had invaded her body. She glanced down, holding the material out. Nothing she could ever afford. Standing next to him in his stunning black suit, gave her more confidence than if she wore plain clothing.

“I wouldn’t have picked it out for myself, but you have good taste.”

“I know.” Trace’s gaze traveled down her torso, to her exposed toes and slowly up to her face. “And you take my breath away.” He kissed the inside of her wrist.
Heat shot up her inner arm overpowering any nervousness she may have felt earlier. She leaned into him and whispered, “You breathe?”

Trace half smiled. “Sometimes.”

She blinked. “Oh.” That meant sometimes he didn’t breathe either.

Trace stiffened, then glanced toward the entrance flanked with four massive columns. It took a moment before she heard footsteps in the foyer. Five men entered the parlor. All dressed similar to Trace, except their cold penetrating eyes made her worry. Scared was more like it. One man strode toward her, eyes narrowed, mouth pulled down in a frown. She swallowed, then took a deep breath and squared her shoulders. They will not get to me. I will be strong.

“He won’t hurt you. Will you, Dev?” Trace stepped forward and crossed his arms.
Dev smirked and stared through his long dark lashes. “Depends.”

An eerie rumble vibrated the room. Kira advanced toward Trace. The sound of a wild cat drifted in the air. She tilted her head, glanced at Trace and realized the noise came from him.

“Boys. Boys. Boys. Dev won’t touch her, but I might.” A slender brunette appeared out of thin air and stood directly in front of the other men. Oh hell.

“Trust you? I have no one else to trust but you,” Brittan yelled as she eyed Sean wearily. She’d go along until she could figure out what to do.

“I won’t let them hurt you,” he whispered. “I promise.”

She sighed. “Where’s your bathroom?” She needed to get away from him fast.

“Through that door,” he said pointing over his shoulder. “We meet Matt in ten minutes in the cafeteria. Matt figured we were starving.” He tilted his head. “Are you?”

“A little, but I don’t think I could eat. Not from here anyway. I’ll be back,” she said as she closed the bathroom door behind her.

Trust him, trust him? Is he out of his mind? She leaned her back against the door and slid down until her butt hit the floor. Her hands covered her face, and she moaned through her fingers.

He was acting like two different men. And she thought she had an entity crisis. He was one man in front of Matt, and another in front of her. Who was he? He’d never opened up to her, so she truly had no idea. Would the real Sean Troy please stand up? She stifled a laugh to herself at the dumb phrase.

At the pedestal sink, she splashed water across her face. The water was heaven against her burning skin. Her palm rested on her forehead, then she flipped it over and pressed. Did she have a temperature? Her skin was burning up. She leaned over and splashed her face again. Maybe her gums got infected from the surgery. She hadn’t been able to take care of the incision since she was abducted.

Her mouth opened wide. She leaned closer to the oval metal framed mirror and glanced inside. No sooner had she stuck her tongue out than she gasped in shock. She quickly slapped her mouth closed with her hands. Her tongue appeared to be long, sleek, and forked. Like a snakes, split down the middle.

Her legs felt weak, and her stomach lurched. She unlocked her mouth once again while her eyes were shut tight. She had to be sure. She pried opened one eye and slowly stuck out her pink split tongue. Oh-my-God, she mouthed to herself in the mirror and swayed on her feet. Just like the aliens. Dear God, please don’t let her have to live with a thing like that inside her mouth, she prayed. What else would change? Didn’t they tell her she’d remain the same? Had they lied to her? She couldn’t trust anyone or anything.

A knock on the door had her wheeling around and clasping her hand over her mouth again.

“Brittan, we have to go,” he hollered.

She removed her hands from her face and placed them at her sides. Slowly she spoke as though it was something foreign to her. “I’ll be out in a second.” Surprisingly she sounded normal, without any slurring.

If she’d had doubts that Sean would turn her in to Matt, she didn’t have any now. After he saw this, he’d lock her up and throw the key away himself. How could she hide it? She circled back to the mirror and glanced one last time, wondering what she could do about it.

The snake tongue was gone. Thank God for huge favors.

Diamonds – Excerpt from Diamonds (Stiletto Millionaire Club Series – Book #1)

Holly couldn’t sleep, so she took a shower and climbed back into bed. The phone rang just as she changed channels on the television. She answered. “Karen. I told you I’ll tell you everything later.”

“Everything?” Drake asked, his voice sounding sexy sleepy. “I hope not everything.”

Holly closed her eyes, mortified. “Of course not.” She paused. “I didn’t expect your call so soon.”

“I can call you later if you like.”

“No. Now is fine,” she said. Now was actually perfect.

He laughed, and the sound warmed her insides. “So what are you doing right now?”

“Talking to you.” Why was she smiling like a love-crazed teenager? She couldn’t do this. She couldn’t feel something for someone she’d just met. This was not like her. Nor was having sex on an island with a man she didn’t know without protection. This would never work out. It had heartache written all over it.

“When can I see you again?”

Damn her heart. She wanted to see him, too. She had a wonderful time with him. The best time in a very long time. And how could she not trust him after he’d found and then given her diamond back. If a man was after her money, he could have easily kept the diamond and she wouldn’t have known the difference.

“Soon.”

“When?”

“I said soon.” She smiled.

“When?”

“You don’t give up, do you?”

“No.”

She blew out a breath. “Hold on a sec.” She dropped the phone on the bed, stood, and bounced on the mattress like a ten-year-old, mouthing Yes! Yes! Yes! She calmly sat down and picked up the phone.

“Um. Saturday looks open.”

“I can’t Saturday,” he said.

Her heart stopped for a second. “Oh.” She really wanted to see him. She hadn’t realized how much until he said he couldn’t see her on Saturday. “I don’t know. Let me look…”

He cut her off. “What about now?”

She froze. “Now? Right now?”

“That’s what I hoped you’d say. I’ll be there in ten.”

“Wait.” The phone went dead. “You need my address,” she said to no one.

She put the phone down, and it rang again. “Hello.”

“I need directions.”

She smiled, gave him directions, hung up the phone, and jumped out the bed. “What the hell just happened? You’re nuts, Holly.” She turned her straightener on, threw on a little powder and mascara, fixed the front of her hair, and twisted up the rest with a ponytail holder. Her mouth was full of toothpaste when the doorbell rang. She spit then pressed a button on the intercom system. “I’m coming.”

Holly threw on cotton shorts and a comfy T-shirt, then ran down the stairs. She swung the front door open and stared. Drake stood in front of her, sporting a leather motorcycle jacket, ripped jeans, and a plain white T-shirt. His black half-helmet hung in his hand. She peered around him. “You rode a bike? I didn’t hear you pull up.”

“Bev’s pretty sneaky.” He nodded toward his Harley.

She gestured for him to come in. “You named your Harley Bev?”

“Of course. Doesn’t everyone?” He placed his helmet near the door on a chair.

She shrugged and said, “I haven’t known anyone who owned a Harley.”

Drake took a step toward her. His fingers pushed a few loose hairs behind her ear, and she shivered beneath his magical touch. “Well, now you do.”

Her insides quivered. She wished he’d kiss her right now. The suspense was killing her. She inched forward and placed her hand on his waist. They studied each other for a short moment. His gaze swept down over her. She felt more comfortable, more alive with him than anything.

He raised her chin with his finger and lowered his mouth to hers.
